Journey of Awakening
As I sit outside my room on the Econo-Lodge balcony looking South down the valley surrounded by mountains on all sides, the lake less than a ½ mile directly in front of me, I ponder what words to write. How to best share my journey since leaving San Diego, one that began long before my physical departure. It has been a process of rediscovering Jeff from my childhood to the present and the integration of all my aspects and archetypes. Although it continues daily, enough of my work was healed quickly and the result has been the blessing from Spirit to continue leading ceremony and being Happy Bear, long hair and all. So feel free to continue referring to me as HB. There have been many magical experiences along the way that will not be put to pen at this time. Call me if you wish to hear the intimate details or look me up in November when I will be in San Diego for a visit (11/3-21/09).
I would like to share the importance of being very quiet and still listening to your divine guidance. Equally important is the trust and faith to act on whatever you are being shown and told. The blessings that have come and continue to show up in my life are a large part of my faith and willingness to take the action required. Living in the moment is the essential-critical in the times coming. Spending time in nature is also extremely important. Our relations, i.e., the mountains, ocean, trees, etc., provide for our rejuvenation, grounding, inspiration, creativity and much more. The opportunity to experience our oneness, our place and part in this vast cosmos, is enhanced many fold the more often we spend time among the flowers, tress, and animals. The other component is unattachment. My good friend Debrah is a living example of this in practice. Diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and given 12-18 months to live, she is unattached to either her healing or going home. The trust, faith, and courage coming forth from Debrah is inspiring me to live these principles more fully. I know it’s nothing new and we have heard it before, but for me there is a measurable change. My trust and faith in Creator and the Divine Plan continues to deepen and expand. The knowing that God takes such good care of me all the time gives me comfort and strength far beyond my words. I pray what I have shared somehow inspires you to live more in the moment, with more trust and faith that God “has your back,” that the Great Spirit, the Great Mystery knows what you truly need and will and does provide it.
