Community Sweat Lodges

THINGS TO BRING FOR EACH SWEAT

Medicine gift for Fire Tender (a way of saying thanks for their hard work for you)
Potluck dish to share after the ceremony (Vegetarian is preferred).
2 or more towels (one for in Lodge & one for shower afterwards).
Clothing is mandatory for Lodge: shorts for men; t-shirts & shorts or loose-fitting dresses for women (bathing suits must be covered).
Flashlight! A necessity if it gets dark before you leave and a MUST for evening lodges.
Open heart and desire for transformation

Donation for Community Lodge is $20
This helps cover our many expenses including firewood, day use fee, etc.. However money is not intended to block anyone from attending ceremony. If you cannot afford the $20 but need prayer and ceremony then come anyway. For those having abundance if you can afford to donate more than $20 then please consider doing so. It helps cover a less fortunate brother or sister and its good karma for you that blesses your giving!

The fire tenders arrive hours before you and work very hard before, during and after ceremony to give you the best possible experience. Though there can be 2 or 3 firetenders you only need to bring one gift unless you feel lead to gift them all. It can be simple or elaborate as your heart suggests. Perhaps a crystal or stone, a craft or artwork, incense, candle, a yummy snack or it could be traditional like a pouch of tobacco or corn meal. Whatever your heart and imagaination speaks to you. It is your energy exhange and your thank you for their give-away.
DIRECTIONS to ESSENE RETREAT: Interstate 15 north to Gopher Canyon & Old Castle Roads exit, Go East on Old Castle Road 2 miles to Pamoosa Lane, turn right on Pamoosa Lane ~ 1 mile to the Essene Retreat. Call Happy Bear for more information at 760 815 6115.

Go 9.6 miles on Campo Rd and turn LEFT onto Honey Springs Rd. Go 5.1 miles and turn RIGHT on Deerhorn Valley Rd. Go 3.7 miles and turn LEFT on Bee Valley Rd. Go 0.2 mi and turn LEFT on Bexley Rd. Go down the hill and turn Left just past Horse Corral. Down long driveway to 2nd House (Monty's House) Lodge behind the Gray house.
